You will no doubt be aware that the Government has withdrawn funding for the rebuilding of Meden as part of the review of the Building Schools for the Future Programme. Meden is not alone in this, with all of the proposed new projects in Nottinghamshire being stopped and some 700 nationally having a similar fate.
However, whilst we will carry on with the same determination and dedication as before, we are equally determined, along with other schools, to seek a reconsideration of this late decision to withdraw the BSF funding. We have therefore decided to mount a petition to demonstrate the support we are being shown on a daily basis regarding this issue and how we believe it will affect the school and the community we serve.
