PRIMARY and infant SCHOOLS ARTS WORKSHOPS

Churchvale, Eastlands, Birklands and Sherwood Junior and Infant schools join Meden for 6 weeks of drama, dance and drumming workshops. We are very excited to welcome local musicians  Kenny Bonsall and Stephen John Marshall to run the sessions alongside BBC actress Caitlin Drabble. We hope students from our feeder schools will discover hidden talents and get a taste for the arts provision at Meden school.

To accompany our work with Year 6 pupils,  we are running Drama workshops for Year 2 students of our feeder schools. Drama GCSE students will be working side by side with the infant pupils, using Drama to explore the theme of friendship.

LESSON DROP IN

I am sure many of you will have attended Meden School yourself and all of you will have a memory of what lessons were like when you were at school.

Meden School invites you to watch our teachers in action, get a sense of what the day is like for your children, experience  lessons and see how much things have changed since you have left education.

If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please contact us using the form below.

As part of our enrichment program, students from year 9 and 10 visit Poplars care home every Wednesday afternoon. We are hoping to get out and give a helping hand at other community venues, so please get in touch if you think we can help you!

‚ÄčTINSEL TEA

Students nominated members of our community whom they felt deserved a special treat and hosted an afternoon tea with live music to say thank you to them in person. Our GCSE food students rustled up tasty homemade snacks and drinks and our student council were waiters for the afternoon.
