The OCR website provides lots of information about these courses. They have several documents that can be downloaded so that students can read about the content of each module, practise exam style questions and find out about all of the practical activities that they can use for their coursework.
At Meden we cover the following theoretical modules at A/S level:
- Application of Anatomical & Physiological Knowledge to Improve Performance
- Acquiring and Performing Movement Skills
- Contemporary Studies in Physical Education
At Meden we cover the following theoretical modules at A2 level:
- Historical Studies in Physical Education
- Psychology of Sport Performance
- Exercise and Sport Physiology

Modules G452 and G454 are the practical sections of the course at A/S and A2 levels respectively. Students are required to perform in two activities from different activity areas at A/S and continue to study one of these activities at A2
At A/S level, students have to complete an 'Evaluation and Planning for Improvement of Performance' task which is a verbal report following observation of a practical situation, focusing on technique, tactics and physiology, identifying areas for development and creating a training plan for improvement.
A similar task is completed at A2 with more in depth use of the theory content of the course to support the judgements made by the candidate.
