Meden Student to follow his Dreams
Young Footballer Harry French has been offered and accepted a 2 year contract with Leicester City FC on their Full Time Training Model at Ratcliffe College. Having achieved 100% in his Maths exam, Harry will continue his studies, taking a total of 10 GCSE's including Further Maths. His formal education will be combined with an enhanced training schedule at the new Leicester FC Academy training facilities in Seagrave. Speaking to his mum, Mrs French she said "we believe this is a amazing opportunity for Harry and fully support his decision to commit to this major lifestyle change. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you at Meden for all your support with Harry and please pass on our thanks to the other members of staff involved with Harry's educational journey in school.
Miss Hickinbotham, Head of Year 9 said "although it is bitter sweet that Harry is leaving us, we know that he is destined for a very successful footballing career. We would like to wish him all the very best for the future!"
